I just received the information, from the new National Board, that they have re-appointed Vince Lysaght, AOH State Treasurer,
to the position of CHAIRMAN NOTRE DAME HIBERNIAN FUND. This represents a huge win for Notre Dame,
the AOH and the State of Michigan! Congratulations to our very worthy Brother Vince Lysaght,
he truly is the best man for this position. In case you didn’t know, Vince is an Usher at all Notre Dame home games
and he was recently appointed to the position of a "Captain", in that job,
which means he is over a group of Ushers, in a section of the stadium.
It also means he has a very good relation with Joseph Russo
, the Director of Financial Aid, and the rest of the infrastructure of Notre Dame.

The 2008 National Convention is history. I want to thank all of the 22 Michigan Delegates who
attended the gathering in New Orleans, LA. Although the outcome was not as we might have hoped for,
Past State President Patrick Maguire did not get elected to the National Board,
the efforts by all who attended was much appreciated by both Patrick and his Committee.
